ACCOMMODATION
In Adrasan

All participants will be based in the buildings on the Adrasan training centre of Akdeniz University, some 90 km. to the west from Antalya city centre during the first three days of the IP. The Adrasan training centre has excellent facilities including a swimming pool, mini golf course, bar, and restaurant. Student accommodation will be in twin rooms, with en-suite bathroom (shower, basin and toilet), and balcony. Facilities near the Adrasan Training Centre are small shops, bars and restaurants on Adrasan Bay some 200 meters from the centre. See http://www.adrasan.akdeniz.edu.tr

ACCOMMODATION
In Antalya

All participants will be transferred to the main campus of Akdeniz University in Antalya city centre for the rest of the IP. The participants will be based in the Guesthouse of Akdeniz University. The Guesthouse has again excellent facilities including a swimming pool, tennis courts, bar and restaurant. Student accommodation will be in twin rooms, with en-suite bathroom (shower, basin and toilet), and balcony. All participants will be able to benefit the all campus facilities.

Please note that it is not allowed to use lobby, restaurant and bar area with swimming suits in Antalya Guesthouse.

WEATHER

In July, the weather is likely to be very warm during the day (typically 30-40 oC) and warm, albeit cooler during the evening and night.

Important note: The risk of sunburn is high so please bring appropriate clothing to protect yourself as we may be outside for prolonged periods. Sunburn and dehydration are risks during the IP, so please ensure that you bring plenty of sun cream and drink plenty of water during the IP.

Payphones

Payphones are the telephones which operate with all Türk Telekom cards and credit cards. Payphones can be found in the places open to public such as squares, hospitals, terminals, bus stations, ports, public housing areas. Prepaid payphone cards can be purchased from Turk Telekom dealers, offices and mobile dealers and can be used for domestic, international and mobile calls from all payphones.

There are payphone machines both in Adrasan and Antalya accomodation places.

cepGSM Phones

In Turkey, you can buy a mobile phone card from Türkcell or Vodafone dealers for using during your stay in Antalya. This might be the most economical way of communication if you use the mobile very often.

Aproximate price for Türkcell or Vodafone cards is 60-65 TL (25-30 Euro). 
(for aproximately 40 minutes international calls or 300 minutes domestic calls).

MONEY

The currency in Turkey is Turkish Lira (TL).  Some shops accept Euro as well.

There are plenty of banks and change offices in Antalya city center. In Akdeniz University campus there is a bank and several ATM machines.

Important Note: There isn't any change office in Adrasan where we will be staying during the first three days of the IP. So, we recommend you to bring some Turkish Liras (some 50 € equiavent) with you for your immadiate expenditures.
